AEON opens first shopping mall in Vietnam

The US$100-million facility, located in Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Phu District, is operated by AEON Vietnam. The shopping mall consists of a basement and a ground floor, with the retail total area estimated at 50,000 square meters. A great variety of products from essentials and fresh and processed food to consumer and high-tech devices are for sale at the mall. Vietnamese goods account for 80 percent of the products sold, while some 600 different food products imported from many countries are available. Vietnam is the third foreign country, after China and Malaysia, to have an AEON shopping mall. Following the Tan Phu facility, AEON is expected to open its second Vietnam mall, the AEON Shopping Center – Binh Duong Canary, in the southern province of Binh Duong in October, according to its website.
