The planning scheme for southern Thanh Hoa and northern Nghe An to 2020 and with visions to 2025 was just approved by the PM.

The region consists of seven districts of Tinh Gia, Nong Cong, Nhu Thanh, Nhu Xuân (in Thanh Hóa) and Quỳnh Lưu, Nghia Dan and Thai Hoa Town (in Nghe An), with the natural area of 3,413.4 square kilometers.

This will be a commercial hub and a transshipment center in the northern part of Central Vietnam, connecting to the surrounding foreign markets. T
