Cai Lan port receives biggest container vessel
The MSC PEGY carrying the Panama flag is 207m long and 32.24m wide. It belongs to the Mediterranean Shipping Company - the world’s second largest shipping line with regard to container transport capacity.
The Cai Lan International Container Port Co. Ltd has spent US$103 million upgrading and expanding the deep-water Cai Lan port for the goal of handling 760,000 in 2017. (one TEUS equivalent to one 20-feet container).
