Circuit board, LED equipment project licensed in SHTP
The US$10 million project will make lighting equipment for civil, industrial and fishing purposes, G7 Tech’s director Nguyen Phan Xuan Huy said. The project is scheduled to get off the ground next month and will be developed in phases.
The factory can turn out more than 210 million products a year when it goes online, Huy added.
Huy said G7 Tech will be the pioneer in packaging LED chips on the domestic market through cooperation with foreign companies such as India’s group L&T, Domat and Elko of the Czech Republic, and HCMC University of Technology and HCMC University of Technology and Education, among others.
G7 Tech will also invest in research and development (R&D), including a smart monitoring system for energy and development of products using renewable energy.
In addition to G7 Tech, SHTP has attracted three other projects in the sector, with two of them invested by South Korean firms Fawookidi and Semist and the remainder by Dien Quang Lamp Joint Stock Company.
Dien Quang will execute a VND587.5 billion project on 16,000 square meters. Once completed, the project will produce lighting equipment, LED chips and electronic components.
