CNT invests in HCM City urban railway project

According to the proposal, CNT will carry out the construction project of route No 3B under the BOT method (Building – Operation – Transfer) with total investment of $1.15 billion. If its project is approved, CNT will start construction work in 2012 and finish in 2014.

The general plan of HCM City urban railway network was approved by the prime minister at the end of 2008 with the expected investment up to 2020 at $7.504 billion. The project includes six routes, such as Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien and other five metro routes, numbered from 2 to 6.

In addition to its plan to carry out the project of HCM City urban railway, CNT also has shown interest to take part in construction work of Hanoi urban railway network. This project was approved by the prime minister at the same time with the HCM City project with total investment capital of $7.345 billion.
