Finance Ministry Removes Fertilizer Export Tax
Big volume of stored fertilizer but low domestic demand encouraged the ministry’s decision.
In July 2008, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung decided to apply tax of VND4,000-VND5,000 per kilo of exported fertilizer in order to reduce fertilizer export and ensure sufficient fertilizer for domestic market. (Youth)
