"Viettel and VNPT will work together using common infrastructure for too high leasing price offered by EVN.
However, at the end of the meeting, representative of EVN as well as many big telecom company has reserved its own perspective. The key point in building electric poles rental price between the lessor and the lessee is the time depreciation electric poles.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Director of the Board of Telecommunications and Information Technology of EVN, said that the VN Telecommunications Group (VNPT) was suspended poles depreciation telecommunication cables only 1 to 3 years, while starting required EVN 15 to 17 years is preposterous.
"EVN do not need to prescribe time shorter depreciation recovery capital as VNPT, just limit to five years is well then. The prolong of this will also affect revenues of the State "- Mr Lam said pressing.
However, the protection point of prolonging electric poles depreciation have up to 15 years, representatives of VNPT said electric poles rent will be increased, if not, it will be very unreasonable for enterprises and telecommunication influence to service price.
Comments on the rejected, Nguyen Thanh Lam said: "The State encourages enterprises to use common infrastructure to reduce investment costs in order to reduce the service price but business telecommunications Institute showed many reasons to degradation extraction proposal is roaming the EVN Telecom (units of EVN), while forced to use general electric poles is ridiculous”.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam said that according to the way to calculate the electric poles rent price that EVN is building, despite the correct calculation, the rent price may also increase compared to the previous proposal. "If the telecommunications companies think it’s not reasonable, they can build their own poles and EVN has no intention to force them to use EVN’s poles" - Mr Lam assertion.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam said the EVN accused of monopoly enterprises is not true, by now, compared with VNPT and Viettel, the number of poles of EVN Telecom cables hanging no more than two other units. VNPT has 2.2 million poles and Viettel has 300,000 poles, 800,000 poles estimated to increase in 2010. Meanwhile, EVN has 1.1 million cable telecommunications poles suspended.
Viettel Deputy General Director, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, affirmed: "Viettel and VNPT will work together using common infrastructure for too high leasing price offered by EVN.”.
Before the long conflict between power and telecommunications businesses, the director of the Telecommunications (Ministry of Information and Communication), Mr. Pham Hong Hai, said: "If businesses do not automatically reach an agreement soon, the Gorvernment will determine the price for poles rent.”
