VN targets stronger tech sector

MoST Deputy Minister Phạm Đại Dương made the pledge at the “Business Meeting Asia” programme in Hà Nội yesterday that brought together nearly 130 domestic and foreign enterprises.

The event, organised by the ASPA in conjunction with the Hòa Lạc High-Tech Park (HHTP), offers an opportunity for local high-tech parks to seek investments and promote their scientific-technological potential, the official said.

It also aims to expand collaboration between businesses in and outside the park and those in the region and the world in the fields of information and communication technology, electronics and medical equipment, among others.

On this occasion, the HHTP’s Management Board signed memoranda of understanding with the Mobile Training and Technology Centre and the Daily Healthcare Centre of the Republic of Korea, on cooperation in the application of the internet of things (IoT) in the medical sector, information exchange, trade promotion and technological transfer.

The HHTP joined the ASPA in 2007 and became a member of the ASPA Directorate in 2010.

As the country’s first high-tech park, the HHTP is projected to become a national centre of high-tech research, development and application, and a city of science and technology.
With myriad activities like training, incubation, research, commercialisation of studied products and service supply, the park aims to contribute to the nation’s industrialisation and modernisation.
