Hong Kong businesses keen on Vietnamese market

The city-based Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council will co-organise a seminar on shipping and real estate on Feb. 26.
The seminar will look at challenges and opportunities for cooperation between the two sides’ enterprises in these areas.
Two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Hong Kong from January to November 2008 reached US$3.41 billion, a year-on-year increase of 24%, reported the Vietnamese General Consulate in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong currently is ranked seventh among foreign investors in Vietnam with 494 projects capitalised at US$6.32 billion.
