Quang Nam hopes to attract RoK investors
Over 60 RoK businesses attending the forum on September 8 showed their interest in Quang Nam and the Chu Lai economic zone in particular.
They requested information on the current infrastructure, construction as well as the quality of labour force in Quang Nam.
Korean businessman Kwang R.Ko, said they lacked information about the investment opportunities in Vietnam. He therefore expected local authorities to help businesses from both countries exchange information.
In the opening ceremony of the forum, Vietnamese ambassador to RoK Pham Tien Van emphasised the development in the bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in economics and trade.
The Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Communist Party Nguyen Duc Hai talked about Quang Nam’s advantages and incentives for investors.
According to Hai, Quang Nam’s Chu Lai economic zone is the first of its kind in Vietnam to offer investors incentives. In terms of tourism, Quang Nam has two World Heritage sites: Hoi An ancient city and My Son Holy Land. The Rok is now the second largest investor in Vietnam with a total registered capital of USD21.1 billion in 2,254 direct projects.
