VIIPIP uses cookies and related browser storage to support the portal. Cookies are small values sent with browser requests; local storage keeps preferences on the device until cleared. Their purposes and controls differ.
1. Core functions and preferences
Session cookies support sign-in and continuity between requests. Other storage may remember the cookie-notice dismissal, language, shortlist selections, map filters and display preferences. Saved shortlist and map settings can remain on the same browser even when you are not signed in. On a shared device, clear them when you finish.
2. External content
Map tiles, map services or other embedded resources may receive your IP address and browser request information when loaded, and may use storage governed by their own policies. The provider depends on the service currently enabled. Loading a map can involve a third-party request even without a third-party cookie.
3. Analytics and advertising
This notice is not a blanket consent to advertising or optional tracking. If optional analytics or advertising storage is enabled, its purposes and any required choices must be disclosed separately. Dismissing the cookie notice only hides that notice; it is not a granular preference manager and should not be interpreted as consent to unrelated tracking.
4. Your controls
Use your browser's site-data settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and local storage for this website. Cookie deletion alone may not remove local storage. Blocking session storage can affect sign-in and forms; clearing local storage can remove a saved shortlist or map preferences. Cookies or preferences may be created again when you use the corresponding feature.
